Although the Odyssey may feel a bit sparse inside compared to the latest iterations of the Toyota Sienna, Chrysler Pacifica, and Kia Carnival, its tech features have been significantly enhanced for 2025. The updated model now includes a standard rear-seat entertainment system, a cabin camera, and a PA system that allows front-row occupants to communicate with those in the back. Honda discontinued the former base EX trim for 2025, reducing the lineup from five to four trims. The EX-L trim remains the best value, offering heated leather seats, wireless charging, and a power-operated rear liftgate—essentially all the family-friendly features you need without extra frills. The Sport-L trim adds a touch of style with black 19-inch wheels and gloss black trim for the grille, headlamps, door mirrors, and taillamps.

The 2025 Odyssey features Honda’s 3.5-liter V-6 engine, producing 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. While modest for a 4,500-pound vehicle, Honda engineers have tuned the 10-speed automatic transmission for optimal performance. The result is a nimble, efficient, and polished minivan that drives better than expected for its class, maintaining its status as the best-driving entry in the segment. Despite the light yet direct steering, which could use more feedback, the ride is comfortable. The EX-L trim with 18-inch wheels offers better isolation from rough roads compared to the 19-inch wheels on the Elite trim.

Honda Odyssey 2025: Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Odyssey offers a plethora of features that cater to the needs of parents. The cabin is exceptionally quiet, promoting a calm atmosphere. The available in-cabin camera and PA system allow parents to maintain control from the front seats, while household power outlets and an HDMI interface keep kids entertained.
The second and third rows of the Odyssey are among the most spacious in the class. The Magic Slide seats in the second row are notably more comfortable than the Pacifica’s Stow-and-Go seats. These seats can slide both side-to-side and fore-and-aft, offering various configurations that help manage sibling rivalries. However, this comfort comes at the cost of some practicality and cargo space. Each Magic Seat weighs 68 pounds, making removal a bit of a challenge, and the sliding tracks on the floor create minor obstacles when loading cargo. With the Magic Seats removed and the third row stowed, our Odyssey tester held one fewer carry-on suitcase compared to the Pacifica with its seats folded into the floor.
Infotainment and Connectivity
All 2025 Odyssey models come with a standard 9.0-inch color infotainment touchscreen (upgraded from the previous 8.0-inch) with a faster processor for a much-needed update. Standard features now include wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity. Understanding the importance of keeping rear passengers entertained, Honda upgraded the rear seat entertainment system with a new 12.8-inch high-resolution screen and relocated the HDMI port inside the console, which also serves as storage for streaming devices. Additionally, more USB-VC ports are available throughout the cabin.

Honda Sensing, a suite of driver-assistance technologies, is standard on all Odyssey models.
